Steiner cabinThis weekend, tour Mount Hood-area log cabins built between 1920-1940 by famous Oregon builder, Henry Steiner. Steiner is famous for using local materials for his cabins, and including signatures like a wagon wheel gable, a basalt rock fireplace, gnarled tree root as a front door handle, and more. The tour begins at Mt. Hood Foods in Rhododendron, and continues to four cabins and the Steiner Church. Witness the works of the father of Oregon Rustic style in an idyllic setting.

When: August 11, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Where: Rhododendron, Zigzag and Brightwood, Oregon
How much: $15 for Mt. Hood Cultural Center and Museum members, $18 for non-members
