Ugly Art Room, the roving curatorial art project moved from Brooklyn, NY to Corvallis, OR on Thursday, Nov. 19th for its inaugural Pacific Northwest exhibition, a postcard show called “Paradise” which explores the theme of travel, place and presentation. The show has over 100+ original artworks mailed from around the world and includes many local Oregon artworks.
There is nothing like summer leaving in the review mirror to put me into a shopping frenzy. Actually, it's more like a drinking / eating / visiting / shopping frenzy. My friend Shannon wanted to shop. I've written about Shannon before: we have good shopping chemistry. We like the same (alternative) stuff, we're mellow, we know how important lunch is to the day. And coffee breaks. On this particular Tuesday, we met at 9:30 to get an early start. And we promptly discovered that most of the stores on our list don't open until 11AM.
