Tour eight gardens in Gresham’s eastside this weekend, at the second Eastside Garden Tour.
The public is invited to visit a variety of gardens as they explore the many “Arts of Gardening”. Children will be delighted as they learn about the “Art of Healthy Eating” at the Dancing Roots Farm, “Art of Miniatures” at the Rail Road Garden of Gary and Jonette Lee and the “Art of Preservation” at the Harlow House Museum. Adults will explore the “Art of Growing Organically” at the home of Rita and Dick Alm’s, the “Art of Hospitality” at Brickhaven Bed and Breakfast and Cedar Place Inn (a former Bread and Breakfast), the “Art of Garden Decor” at Brickhaven and the “Arts of Tranquility and Discovery” at the estate of the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist.
The tour runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, August 20. Tickets for the self-guided tour are $20 and children are free. For more information see eastsidegardentour.com.
