Celebrate the official flower of Newberg during this one-day festival on Saturday, April 12 at the Chehalem Cultural Center. The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m — the event is free.
The festival is a one-day mashup of Camellia bloom competitions, Asian cultural presentations and a 5k/10k race. While only one of the three components directly features the flower, all three bring the community around it as a symbol of Newberg unity – the Camellia is even on the city flag.
