Celebrate Arbor Month with a day full of free tree events on Saturday, April 19. All events will be held at or will begin at Portland State University’s Hoffman Hall, 1833 SW 11th Avenue.
– 10 am Tree Tour & Walk. Phyllis Reynolds, the author of Trees of Greater Portland, will lead us through a walking tour of interesting trees in the downtown area. Registration and book signing begins at 9:30 am.
– 12:30 pm Tree Planting. Help plant a tree in front of Lincoln Hall’s new entry.
– 6 pm Movie Screening. Brian French, certified arborist and founder of the non-profit organization Ascending the Giants, will discuss his work and screen his documentary film, Treeverse. Doors open at 5:45 pm.
