Design Museum of Portland’s next field trip will be to Pulp and Deckle

An exclusive event for Director’s Circle, Patron, and Advocate level members.

PulpandDeckle 1000x375-1000x375

How exactly does one make paper out of beer?  We’re as curious as you are! Join us for our next Field Trip to Pulp and Deckle paper-making studio. Every season we bring our Director’s Circle, Patron, and Advocate level members to special, design-focused spots all around Portland for behind-the-scenes tours and experiences. We offer our members exclusive access to innovative people and unique places.

On December 1st, we’ll take a trip to Pulp and Deckle for a hands-on experience in paper-making… out of beer! Get a messy and behind-the-scenes look at the process of recycling and up cycling paper into works of art.

Jennifer Woodward and Gary Hanson are a husband and wife team who create artisanal handmade papers and teach workshops in their St. Johns studio. As part of the c3:initiative’s studio incubator, Pulp and Deckle shares the art, science, and history of handmade paper.

Field Trip space is limited — upgrade your membership or join today to take part in this special event!
