Presenting the winners of the 2018 Structure + Style Awards: Remodel!
KITCHEN REMODEL: UNDER $100,000
This bright and airy remodel resulted in a more spacious and comfortable kitchen for a busy, professional household. The dining room and kitchen swapped locations and the wall that divided them was removed. White cabinets, tile and appliances are balanced with satin brass hardware for a clean, sophisticated atmosphere.

KITCHEN REMODEL: $100,000 – $149,999
The homeowners were eager to remodel their tacky ’80s kitchen that did not fit their mid-century home or lifestyle. With the help of ReCraft plus Howells Architecture + Design, the kitchen was opened up to the living room, creating a family-friendly, open and versatile gathering space.

The home, built in 2000, sits on acreage in rural Hillsboro and featured a plethora of similar wood tones. The goal was to create a more functional layout for entertaining, add light, and warmth through a mix of wood. This space is now perfect for a couple or a crowd.

MAJOR HOME REMODEL: $250,000 – $400,000
Repurposing a tall crawlspace increased our clients’ living space by over 50%. Never intended for conversion, this dark cave was a maze of structural and mechanical components with no connection to the space above. Now transformed beyond recognition, this delightful area is seamlessly integrated with the rest of the home.

Whole house renovation and addition, transforming a dark, mid-50’s daylight ranch to a sleek contemporary stunner. Original home was completely opened up, creating large, inviting spaces. Expansive windows and a 24-foot sliding door wall opened almost every room to stunning mountain and river views.
