Tickets are now on sale for the 23rd Annual Cannon Beach Cottage Tour Weekend, returning September 11–13, 2026. Named Cannon Beach’s “Best Autumn Event” by Sunset Magazine, this beloved annual fundraiser for the Cannon Beach History Center & Museum invites visitors to step inside a collection of Cannon Beach’s charming cottages while discovering the architecture, history, and stories that make each one unique.
The weekend begins on Friday, September 11, with the Opening Night Benefit Bash from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Cannon Beach History Center & Museum. Guests are invited to enjoy an evening of live music by the RJ Marx Jazz Trio, delicious food and beverages from Rainy Day Boards & Bakery, Cannon Beach Chocolate Café, The Wine Shack, and Pelican Brewing Company, while browsing a silent auction and celebrating the museum’s mission of preserving Cannon Beach’s history. Admission is by donation.
The Self-Guided Tour of Homes is the highlight of Cottage Tour Weekend and takes place as a one-day event on Saturday, September 12, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. While Cottage Tour Weekend includes events on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, the Self-Guided Tour of Homes is held on Saturday only. This year’s walking tour features a collection of charming cottages throughout Cannon Beach’s Midtown neighborhood, along with a sprinkling of homes in the beloved Presidential Streets area. Along the way, visitors will discover the people, architecture, and stories that have helped shape Cannon Beach through the decades.
Cottage Tour ticket prices are:
- $50 per person through August 31
- $55 per person beginning September 1
- $60 per person on the day of the tour
Museum members receive discounted Cottage Tour tickets! Active members may purchase discounted tickets by calling the Cannon Beach History Center & Museum at 503-436-9301 or visiting the museum during regular business hours.
To protect homeowner privacy, tour maps will be distributed beginning at 12 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, at the Cannon Beach History Center & Museum. Maps will not be distributed before the tour begins. Your official Cottage Tour map also serves as your admission ticket and must be presented at each home along the tour.
A complimentary shuttle, provided in partnership with Suzanne Elise Assisted Living Community, will once again be available during the Cottage Tour. The shuttle route will be included on the official tour map and offers visitors a convenient transportation option between tour locations, reducing the need to drive and park throughout the afternoon while providing additional accessibility for guests with mobility concerns.
On the day of the tour, Cottage Tour tickets may be purchased at the ticket booth located outside the House of Orange Gallery, 266 N. Hemlock Street, Cannon Beach, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. After 3 p.m., tickets may be purchased at the Cannon Beach History Center & Museum until the tour concludes at 5 p.m.
The weekend concludes on Sunday, September 13, with Cottage Keepsakes: A Watercolor Workshop led by artist and science illustrator Nora Sherwood. Participants may choose from either an 11 a.m. or 1 p.m. session.
Designed for all skill levels, the workshop invites participants to create a watercolor painting inspired by a Cannon Beach cottage using historic black-and-white photographs provided by the museum. All materials, including watercolors, brushes, and paper, are provided, and participants are welcome to bring a photograph of a historic cottage they would like to paint. Workshop tickets are $50 per person, and space is extremely limited.
The Cannon Beach Cottage Tour Weekend is the largest annual fundraiser for the Cannon Beach History Center & Museum, a private nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of Cannon Beach and Arch Cape. Proceeds from the event support exhibits, educational programming, collections care, and preservation efforts while helping keep museum admission donation based throughout the year.
