Portland-based Rejuvenation Inc. opened a new store in Los Angeles last week. The period-style lighting company was founded in Portland in 1977, and expanded to Seattle in 2004.

The company explored nationwide opportunities before deciding to expand to Los Angeles. Their new 7,000 foot showroom is in the Helms Bakery District in a 1931 art deco building.

“Our Los Angeles customers have told us they want us to land in their home town for a while now,” Rejuvenation owner and founder, Jim Kelly, said in a press release. “L.A.’s love of great design and the range of architecture in the city, from bungalows to mid-century modern homes and buildings, make this feel like an excellent match.”

“Rejuvenation’s aesthetic, mission and period-authentic products perfectly complement the Bakery’s collection of successful stores and quality home furnishings,”Helms Bakery owner Wally Marks said. “We are passionate about historic preservation at the Bakery and partnering with Rejuvenation enables us to further share that passion and experience with our customers.”
