Who says you can’t have it both ways? When designing these adjoining rooms — a bedroom and a playroom — for a family with a 3-year-old son, Portland-based Wise Design worked with local design collective Makelike to choose just the right wallpaper. “We couldn’t choose between two colorways,” says Annie Wise. “So we thought: Why not just do both?” The darker version, Wise says, fits with the cozy nature of the bedroom, while the brighter style speaks to daytime play. “It’s a great way to create cohesion between two related spaces,” she says.
