Angela Todd of Angela Todd Designs describes her first visit to the home of Doug and Diana Boss as somewhat magical. “Daisy, their yellow Labrador retriever, came galloping toward me through the lush landscape and onto the blue stone pathway leading up the front of the house,” she recalls. “The springtime dew and aromatic budding shrubs and flowers were energizing. It is hard to explain in words, but all of my senses were aware this was a special place.”
Pangaea, owner of Pangaea Interior Design, is well aware of how physical surroundings can impact the people who live in them. Since leaving her full-time job as an artist, she has established herself as an intuitive designer who partners with clients to create visually stunning rooms that are deeply satisfying to use.
“I wanted it to be a space that is visually beautiful and nurturing on every level.”
This guest bathroom is too beautiful to be relegated to the status of “guests only.” In fact, interior designer Anita Sande worked hard to ensure that the spa-like bathroom would be irresistible even to the homeowner.
“We repurpose old things, and upcycling is a big part of what we do.”
Alyse Holzhausen and Joel Knudsen, owners of Branches Furniture, in Canby, OR, are relatively new to the furniture-making scene, but you wouldn’t know it from their diverse portfolio. From birch wood coffee and side tables, to reupholstered mid-century lounge chairs and floating wood shelves, the couple has amassed a varied collection of original home décor designs.
