Much of the trip was spent on the back patio, which overlooks the iconic landmark of Haystack Rock. Whether outside enjoying the views or indoors playing games and gathering in the cozy, family-friendly great room, Pacific City Sand Dollar exceeded all expectations for a beautiful coastal getaway. Each day was a quest for adventure, and the kids were ready to explore. Sitka Sedge State Natural Area provided a fun and easy family trail. The flat and scenic loop is perfect for kids of all ages, with breathtaking views all throughout the hike. The group also climbed the large dune at Cape Kiwanda each day for exercise and unparalleled views.
In the evenings, the group took short walks from the home over to Pelican Brewing Company Pub for drinks, dinner and sunset views. The gorgeous weather called for multiple dinners outside, which was a huge plus. The kids played in the sand while Mom and Dad enjoyed after-dinner drinks. No better playground than a sandy beach! After fun-filled sunny beach days, a retreat to the beautiful upper loft of Pacific City Sand Dollar was in order. With panoramic ocean views and tastefully updated coastal decor, this amazing home is a true oasis and peaceful vacation experience.
